Meet the Makers at The Central Market Arcade

October 08, 2018 Petina Walsh

Opening Oct 15th in Shop 52, Central Market Arcade, OmMade Meet the Maker is a collaboration of Adelaide’s finest creators and curators.
Just in time for Christmas shopping and in a convenient location open 6 days per week, you can now not only support South Australian businesses, but you can meet the makers behind them.

Gemma from Gemma Vendetta Cosmetics, Sonia & Anastasia from The Studio Room, Vivian from Loomfruit Global, Gina from Keep It Natural, Katrina from Katshedcrafts & Mish from Morocco By Mish are the first six makers to join Tina from OmMade Organic Skincare.

Gemma Vendetta’s mission is to provide high quality, high definition, safe, gender-neutral, 100% vegan & cruelty free mineral cosmetics to those who care about themselves, our animals and the planet. Gemma is also an #iChooseSA Brand ambassador.

The Studio Room hand makes every candle to the finest detail. They specialise in a large range of jar candles, tea light candles, melts, reed diffusers and decorative candle holder giftware. Their wax is very smooth and creamy allowing for beautiful scent oil saturation.

Just ask Vivian from Loomfruit Global, a former Ecologist and Environmental Manager, about her beautiful natural fibre products and you’ll feel her passion. Her Turkish Towel range includes not just towels but also blankets, dressing gowns and bags.

Keep It Natural soaps are vegan and created using a combination of olive, coconut and rice bran oils. Gina is committed to not having any palm oil in any of her soaps. Gina makes her soaps using the old fashion cold press method without any synthetic fragrances or artificial colour. Once you try Keep It Natural Soaps, you’ll never use another.

By day she is a microbiologist, by night she recycles clay to create beautiful works of art. Katrina’s gorgeous range of Katshedcrafts clay includes pots, hanging cones, planter labels, Christmas tree decorations, garden ornaments, succulents and more.

Morocco by Mish curates stunning Moroccan treasures which are ethically sourced and handmade. The treasures include home wares, accessories and jewellery. Mish not only sells her treasures, but she also conducts tours for the independent traveller to the majestic country that is Morocco. The small group tours give back to the local communities they visit.
The person behind OmMade Meet the Maker is Tina from OmMade Organic Skincare. Once a scenic pilot in QLD and Outback SA, Tina has been making OmMade’s range of natural, eco-friendly, palm oil free skincare in Adelaide since 2013. OmMade was launched in response to the ongoing ‘green washing’ of the beauty industry after searching far and wide for the cure to her own skin issues. Unfortunately, even those of us with the best intentions for finding natural alternatives can be led astray by confusing marketing techniques and green washing. This is what inspires OmMade to ensure all of their products remain 100% natural. The OmMade Organic Skincare range is perfect for those with sensitive or problematic skin.

We look forward to seeing you at OmMade Meet the Maker- Adelaide’s Finest Creators and Curators.

If you’re an Adelaide creator or curator and would love to be involved in OmMade Meet the Maker, send Tina and expression of interest email at ommadeproducts@yahoo.com.au
